Wed. is “Yellow House” Show Night!
We’re midway through the week with Friday’s 7pm show fast approaching but that means it’s time for the Worshop 101 folks to show their newly-gained chops at their public dress rehearsal tonight at The Yellow House.

These new audio theatre practitioners have been learning to adapt and present “Anansi and the Spider,” an entertaining African folktale transformed from one-voice spoken presentation to a full-cast experience with sound effects and music, giving the story layers of depth that fuel the listener’s imagination beyond what spoken word can do alone. The public is welcome to The Yellow House tonight, but Friday’s 7pm show in the West Plains Civic Center will be the Workshop 101 class’ genuine public debut when they perform in sequence before a studio audience with the two other audio plays, “Road Angels” and “Wells’ Leap.” Those, as well as Charles Lewis’s jazz oratories, “Langston Speaks” will all be part of the big show and we’ll announce Friday how you can listen over the air locally or via the internet outside the radio station’s signal area.
